2018 Under 19 Australian Championships Information

INFORMATION FOR BOXERS TO 2018 UNDER 19 AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

All forms are now due - URGENT SEROLOGY TESTS MUST BE SUPPLIED NO LATER THAN MONDAY (remember serology must be as detailed on the attached form)

 

Boxing Queensland will be taking a team to compete in the 2018 Under 19 Australian Championships, in Perth, WA. The Under 19 Australian Championships competition is the Selection event for the 2018 Oceania Men’s and Women’s Youth Championships which in turn is the selection for the 2018 AIBA Youth Men and Women’s World Championships.

 

 Athletes will meet at the Brisbane Airport outside Qantas Group Check-in on Tuesday 20 March 2018 at 7:30am, for a 8:45am departure. The Athletes will return from Perth at approximately 4:20pm on Sunday 25 March 2018. 

 

Athletes will be staying at the Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough, The Esplanade, Scarborough WA. Accommodation will be in twin and triple share rooms.

 

Athletes will need to bring for training/competition:

  • Hand Wraps
  • Mouthguard - no red or derivative of red (ie orange or pink)
  • Headguards - AIBA approved only in Red & Blue (also supplied for use at venue)
  • Hand Towel
  • Water Bottle
  • Training Gear 
  • Blue Competition Record Book - check dates of medicals 

 
Each boxer will receive a Queensland tracksuit and a red and blue competition uniform.

Tuesday 20 March  Qantas Airways  Flight QF589 - Departs Brisbane at 8:45am     Arrives Perth at 12:00pm

*Luggage Allowance 23kg per person

Boxing Queensland are subsidising this trip which in inclusive of flights, accommodation and most meals as well as your red and blue competition uniform and Boxing Queensland Team Tracksuit.

Please remember that you are representing Boxing Queensland when you travel as part of a team, it is an honour to be given the opportunity to represent Queensland - ANY behavioural issues will seriously impact your inclusion on this or any future team.

Please complete all forms attached, serology test, Australian Passport and proof of Australian Citizenship, return it to Boxing QLD via secretary@boxingqueensland.com by 11 March 2018.
