Blue Cards & Coaches Tickets to be on display

Attention all coaches & 2nd’s

It is a requirement that all coaches & 2nd’s have and display their current Blue cards (child safety cards) & Boxing Australia coaches ticket (min level 1 required) while in attendance at all tournaments (MA & championship), especially when entering the field of play (cornering your athletes).

They can be displayed around your neck via a lanyard or on your arm in an armband. You may be stopped from entering the field of Play if you do not have your tickets on display

Coaches may (will) also be asked to produce their blue card at weigh in, so please have it with you! or alternatively an application can be pending, if this is the case the BQ secretary must be made aware.

For those coaches who have not yet obtained their level 1 coaches qualification, you need to do so ASAP. This of course is subject to the new coaches course availability, there is one running this weekend in Brisbane, refer BQ web site.

We have a legal obligation to fulfil our duty of care to the athlete by ensuring all persons entering the FOP are suitably qualified to do so.
