Futures Squad - Nominations due by Friday 1 March

To Boxing Queensland Affiliated Club Coaches,

Mark Evans has recently been selected by BA as the Regional Futures Coach for Queensland, he is expected to establish a list of no more than 20 boxers, which will be known as the BAL Futures Squad. The Futures Program is to be made up of the best male & female Junior (15/16) and Youth (17/18) boxers from our State.

Mark has been encouraged to target a small group of Elite boxers to invite into some camps, both to develop the targeted Elite boxers and to support the Youth boxers in the squad who will soon transition to the Elites.

The athletes in this Program should be the best performing boxers in our State/Region. This may be based on performances at Australian Championships, State Championships , National Golden Gloves and tournaments, and State camps.

Mark is aware there are some outstanding athletes with in these age groups in your gyms, and is seeking assistance in the selection of the squad if possible by emailing him a list of eligible boxers from your gyms.
