GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS for BOXING SPORT SPECIFIC VOLUNTEERS ROLES AT THE GOLD COAST 2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES

The official Portal for becoming a Volunteer IS NOW OPEN but closes on 6^th March 2017.

The cut off time for registering in a particular sport is 28^th February 2017. By this if you a registering for Boxing you have a code that will be asked on your application form code is BOX2018. If you don’t put this code down your name will just go into the general basket of volunteering.

It is most important that everybody understands that if they have missed this time frame PORTAL they will miss there chance of becoming a Volunteer for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

We currently have only 38 Expression of Interest forms and require a total of 88 Volunteers to run the competition. Most Sports have already got their numbers with some having well over the required numbers and have advised the overflow to look at another sport. I would like to think that we can fill our numbers from Boxing people and not rely on the general applications. Numbers will not be a problem as currently we have 1100 people that have applied in other sports but they have had to already be advised their name will be sent to another sport.

I would like to think that with this official call out we can fulfill our committed numbers from within the Boxing circle. So may I please ask for every bodies assistance in reaching this target.

Referee & Judges unfortunately we only are allowed a maximum of 2 being selected plus I now have the chance of 6 becoming NTO so why not put your name forward in gaining this great opportunity to see a major competition and be a part of successful team that happens only every four (4) years.

To all State members ( trainers / athletes mums and dads) again what a great opportunity in being a part of possibly something we will not have again for many years.
