Information re Youth Boxers to 2019 Elite Pre-Selection Events

Boxing Australia have announced that boxers born in 2001 will be eligible to compete in the pre-selection tournament to be conducted in December to select the Australian Team toward the 2020 Olympic Games Qualification Tournaments.
Eligible Male & Female Boxers are invited to nominate now for the Boxing Queensland Elite Selection event to be held 12-13 October 2019.

Dear Member Associations,
The BAL Board has approved the following regarding boxers who are currently Youth but will be Elite in 2020:
A boxer, in regards to his or her age, who will be eligible to compete in 2020 in Elite boxing competition will be eligible to compete under BAL Elite competition rules and conditions in:
(i) the BAL Elite Men’s and Elite Women’s Preselection Tournament to be conducted in December next for the Australian Team for the relevant 2020 Olympic Games Qualification Tournaments for Oceania boxers; and
(ii) Member Association ‘pathway’ competition to BAL’s Preselection Tournament.
