Boxing Australia are proposing to send a team to the:-
International German Open for Juniors (U17), LINDOW 2024, 22 – 27 September 2024
Background
Boxing Australia is tasked with offering opportunities, targeted toward male and female boxers in
the junior category, Coaches and Managers, focused on developing talent and producing future Elite
Australian representatives.
Team Selection
We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI) from interested personnel wishing to be considered for
International German Open for Juniors (U17) LINDOW 2024 22 – 27 September 2024
• Junior boxers’ gold and silver medallist at the 2024 National School championships.
• Coaches / managers that attended the 2024 National School championships and have
had experience in the State and National Pathway programs.
• Has an active passport.
• Nominations will be forwarded to the National Selection Panel for review and selection.
It will be a user pay opportunity for athletes and coaches.
Eligibility - Athletes
Athletes must meet the following criteria:
1. Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current Australian Passport.
2. Have competed and won Gold or Silver in the 2024 School Championships, Perth, WA.
3. Age / Year of birth. - Junior 2008/2009 (15/16).
4. Weight category nominating to compete in.
5. Experience you must have competed in total number of bouts listed below.
Junior Male 5 Bouts - Junior Female 3 Bouts
Age category:- Juniors, born from 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2009
Weight categories:
Men: 46kg;-50kg;-52kg;-54kg;-57kg;-60kg;-63kg;-66kg;-70kg;-75kg;-80kg;+80kg
Women: 48kg;-50kg;-52kg;-54kg;-57kg;-60kg;-63kg;66kg
Eligibility – Coaches/Manager/R & Js
1. Be a registered member of their state.
2. Have a current working with children card (or equivalent) and be linked to Boxing Qld
3. Hold a Current Australian Passport.
4. Have completed the Anti-Doping, Child Safeguarding, Competition & Manipulation online
learning with Sport Integrity Australia.
5. National Police Check
6. Coaches must have current Boxing Australia’s accreditation (coaches only).
7. Hold a Bronze or Silver coach accreditation, desirable Silver (coaches only).
8. R/J to hold current BAL 3-star accreditation.
Once athlete/staff are selected to compete at the Junior (U17) International German Open
LINDOW 2024 22 – 27 September 2024, he or she must adhere to the BAL Code of Conduct and
National Team Policies and Procedures.
Expression of Interest to be submitted via the below link by COB Friday 16 August,
